For every future that happens, all others are foregone. The
world we live in is the result of countless possibilities in the past. The
Future Humans Project aims to move beyond the paradigm that design is
problem-solving, positioning the designer as a researcher to explore new roles,
backgrounds, and design methods. This project explores current and future
advances in material, like 3D bioprinting, bio-accessories, genetic
modification, and vitro meat. This project uses design to speculate, understand
and participate in the possible future.
The video is edited like a news report to show a future of
the earth in an extreme environment, and how humans can use the potential of
biotechnology to rethink and design the "future humans" to survive.
